Everton boss David Moyes has been talked about as a potential successor to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, and he got a close-up view of one of Ferguson's most famous tricks - the ol' point at watch and moan to fourth official - on Sunday. Moyes grabbed Fergie's wrist and started chuckling at one point - but the Scot, true to form, was having none of it and remained stony-faced.

Everyone in Old Trafford braced themselves for another penalty storm when Rafael tumbled to the floor under pressure from Leon Osman - but referee Mike Jones didn't give it, which was a surprise as it looked a better shout than the ones Ashley Young was awarded in recent weeks. Ferguson decided to take Young out of the firing line, opting instead to start Nani, who scored one and assisted one.

An incredible game played out at Old Trafford, with Everton twice coming back from two goals behind to earn a 4-4 draw. Which has given rise to an even more remarkable stat: United have still not won a Premier League game after falling behind this season.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish urged the Anfield fans to give a warm reception to Roy Hodgson on Sunday - but, well, they'll have to think pretty hard to find much from the Hodgson era that was worth cheering. The West Brom boss has a higher Premier League win percentage with the Baggies than he did as manager of the Reds. He's got a lesser percentage of David Ngogs now too - just saying.
